Cubic Challenge for Schools

Cubic Challenge for Schools

We often use "micrograms per cubic meter" as units of air pollutant concentration. What methods can we use to improve air pollution and establish a clean-air campus if we take one cubic meter as the first step? This challenge invites primary and secondary school students to unleash their creativity and imagination to design methods to improve campus air quality on a one cubic meter cube using STEAM elements and draw their imagination for a clean-air campus.

Clean Air Day aims to…

Of that 10,000 to 20,000 liters of air you breathe in and out everyday, how much of that do you breathe right?
From Oct to Nov 2023, a series of events will lead to the Clean Air Day to explore meanings of breathing right. Come together to celebrate a collective commitment to cleaner, healthier air for all.
Make a pledge today to show your support and inspire others!

From our first breath to our last, air pollution is having an impact on us.

With cleaner air, 3,500 deaths can be prevented in Hong Kong every year.

That is equivalent to:

Group 738

35 times of the number of deaths from traffic accidents annually

Group 739

A fully seated Queen Elizabeth Stadium

Group 740

27 fully loaded double-deck buses

Many of the sources of air pollution and climate change are shared

Any action to tackle one will benefit our fight against the other.
